Open a new window or tab on your web browser, go to https://dashboard.meraki.com and log in.

Step 1: Follow these easy steps to configure your APP

Follow these easy steps in order to properly configure the APP.

  1. Copy the email address automatically generated by clicking the icon Copy at the end of the Email field.
  2. Login in your Meraki dashboard by following this path: Network-wide > Configure > Alerts and paste it in the ‘Default’ recipients field.
  3. In the Subscribers field, enter one per line, the email addresses of your Webex teammates you want to send the notifications.

VAPP TIP
You can enter all email addresses of your Webex teammates or just some of them. The maximum number of email addresses allowed depends on the Webex Teams subscription you made. Mind the counter on the top right of the subscribers field! If the numbers turn red, you have entered more email addresses than your Webex Teams subscription allows. Email addresses above the threshold will be ignored.

Step 1: Follow these easy steps to configure your APP

Follow these easy steps in order to properly configure the APP.

  1. Login into Meraki dashboard
  2. Select your WiFi network
  3. Go to Network-wide, click on General, scroll until Location and scanning menù.
  4. Enable “Analytics” and “Scanning API” from the drop down menù. Two new elements will appear: Validator and Add a Post URL link, click on it.
  5. Copy Validator code from Meraki Dashboard and paste it in the APP Validator field in this page.
  6. Copy App generated URL by clicking on the Copy icon at the end of the URL field in this page.
  7. Return to Meraki Dashboard and paste the URL into the Post URL field.
    WATCH OUT: select 2.0 from API VERSION dropdown menu.
  8. Now write a secret word at your leisure.
  9. Click on validate button and save configuration.
  10. Insert the word your secret word in the proper field in this page.
  11. Validate Meraki Post URL and check message that appears, it should report “Validated”. If not, double check the key, url and secret
  12. When successfully validated, Save Meraki configuration
  13. Select the layer you prefer to use (map or upload custom image).
  14. If you use a Map as base layer, insert coordinates to centre the map quicky and more precise.
  15. Save app configuration.

VAPP TIP
Wait for data collection to start and view on the map the Wi-Fi Coverage Survey.

Configuration Backup

Open a new window or tab on your web browser, go to https://dashboard.meraki.com and log in.

Step 1: Follow these easy steps to configure your APP

Follow these easy steps in order to properly configure the APP.

  1. Login into your Meraki Network administration dashboard and go to “My Profile” page. Top right of the page, click on the email address.
  2. Scroll down the page and click on generate a new API Key. Store the key in a safe place (it will not be readable anymore).
  3. Now go to Organization menù and click on Settings. Scroll to the bottom and tick on Enable access to the Cisco Meraki Dashboard API.
  4. Save changes.

    Configure your VPN Configuration Backup APP.

  5. Copy the API Key generated in the Meraki dashboard and paste it in the APP configuration field. This will link the APP to your Meraki Network.
  6. Now you can open Organization drop-down and select your desired one.
  7. Open Network drop-down and select the one you wish to backup with this APP.

Historical Bandwidth Usage

Telegram Alert BOT

Step 1: Follow these easy steps to configure your APP

Follow these easy steps in order to properly configure the APP.

  1. Copy the email address automatically generated by clicking the icon Copy at the end of the Email field.
  2. Login in your Meraki dashboard and follow this path: Network-wide > Configure > Alerts.
  3. Paste it in the ‘Default’ recipients field.
  4. Open your camera and point the QR code on the left. No shot required.
  5. A Telegram notification will appear on your smartphone, click it, you will be diverted in a new chat o Telegram.
  6. Click on START BOT below.
  7. The message “You have been successfully registered” means that your BOT is active. You will now receive Meraki system notifications also via Telegram.

VAPP TIP!
Check Telegram notifications status on your smartphone. Make sure notifications are enabled!
