SD-WAN Monitoring

Step 1: Follow these easy steps to configure your APP
- Identify a computer in your network to be used as a collector (you will need a privileged access to install the agent)
- Download the corresponding version of the agent for the operating system installed in the collector computer
- MS Windows i386
- MS Windows AMD64
- Linux i386
- Linux AMD64
- Linux ARM
- MacOS AMD64
- Copy the downloaded executable in a proper folder (for linux/darwin /opt/vapp, for windows c:\vapp)
- Install the agent service:
- Windows
Open a privileged power shell console
Change directory to the previously created folder (c:\vapp)
Execute the downloaded file with these parameters “-service install -n” to install the agent as a service
Execute again with these parameters “-service start” to start the service
If prompted allow connections from the LAN to the port 2055 (UDP) - Linux
Open a terminal console
Elevate privilege with “sudo -i”
Change directory to the previously created folder (/opt/vapp)
Execute the downloaded file with these parameters “-service install -n” to install the agent as a service
Execute again with these parameters “-service start” to start the service
Check firewall configuration to allow connections from the LAN to port 2055 (UDP) - MacOS
Open a terminal application
Elevate privilege with “sudo -i”
Change directory to the previously created folder (/opt/vapp)
If the downloaded file name has any extension, please remove it.
Execute the downloaded file with these parameters “-service install -n” to install the agent as a service
Execute again with these parameters “-service start” to start the service
Check firewall configuration to allow connections from the LAN to port 2055 (UDP)
- Windows
- Open Meraki Dashboard and select Network-wide configuration page
- Scroll down to “Reporting” section
- Enable “NetFlow traffic reporting”
- Insert the collector IP address in “NetFlow collector IP” field, leave 2055 as “NetFlow collector port”
- Save configuration
